Who should attend this event? Business men and women, entrepreneurs, small business owners, CEO’s…anyone who wants to learn how to effectively engage the next generation in their business. We will have two speaker panels; one with Millennials and one with GenX/Baby Boomers. Johnny (Bravo) Holloway will emcee the event.
In addition to our speaker’s program, we will also introduce The Get Together‘s model for business people to use their professional skills and network to help local nonprofits. Our 2019-2020 season allows us to partner with 25 local Christ-Centered ministries. In true Get Together style, we’ll also attempt to meet 50 tangible needs of these ministries by asking the attendees to consider their network for in-kind and pro-bono resources. This is not a monetary fundraiser; instead, we encourage our attendees to use their professional skills or resources to help our Partner Ministries. Our goal: To meet these 50 needs and provide an informative seminar all during lunch!
Seating and lunch service begins at 11:00 am.
Is this event open to any nonprofit to participate? No. The Get Together Network With Purpose Lunches are designed for the local business person to connect with carefully vetted “Partner Ministries”. Only “Partner Ministries” that have completed an application process and approved as 12-month partners may present needs on behalf of their organizations.
What to expect:
- Each table will be hosted by a Get Together Ambassador who will facilitate the networking time during the meal.
- Each table will include a Get Together Partner Ministry representative.
- Our topic today is Generational Differences in the Workplace. We’ll have two speaker panels…a Baby Boomer/Gen X panel and a Millennial panel. Additionally, the program will include our Get Together style of meeting needs of ministries. We’ll have 25 ministries represented. These ministries are vetted partners of The Get Together.
The Get Together Networking Luncheons are not monetary fundraisers. Attendees are encouraged to reach out to their network to help ministries identify resources that will help them further their cause. These needs may include material items (in-kind) like office furniture, cleaning supplies, etc. as well as professional expertise like creating a strategic plan for communication or project management. We want to know what you know about business, strategy, networking and creative problem-solving.
Expect to think about your network of influence and how you can help ministries tackle some of their greatest challenges. Join like-minded business people to network and do good things together!
